About the Role
We are looking for a technically skilled and customer-focused Technical Consultant – Azure to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on Azure engineering, has a passion for cloud cost optimization (FinOps), and thrives in a customer-facing, consultative environment.
You’ll work directly with customers to help them understand, monitor, and optimize their Azure costs and infrastructure, using our FinOps-focused platform. This is a unique opportunity to combine technical delivery, Azure expertise, and cost governance consulting while working closely with product, engineering, and sales teams.
Key Responsibilities
Azure & FinOps Consulting
- Provide expert guidance to customers on:
- Azure resource provisioning and infrastructure architecture
- Cost optimization best practices and cost-aware architecture
- FinOps principles and tooling for visibility, accountability, and control
- Help customers use our product to:
- Track and analyze Azure spend
- Identify inefficiencies in infrastructure or pricing tiers
- Implement governance around budget and usage policies
Technical Support & Troubleshooting
- Assist with deployment and configuration of our Azure-based product
- Troubleshoot technical issues across infrastructure and monitoring
- Set up Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and diagnostics pipelines
- Provide actionable recommendations to improve reliability and cost efficiency
Customer Enablement & Success
- Work with customers through onboarding, trials, and ongoing support
- Translate customer needs into solution designs using our product
- Contribute to customer training resources, runbooks, and best practice guides
Product Collaboration
- Work closely with engineering and product teams to:
- Share customer feedback and feature requests
- Assist with QA or technical validation of new product capabilities
- Help refine FinOps reporting, dashboards, and recommendations
Sales & Pre-sales Support
- Support technical discussions during customer evaluations or trials
- Provide demos and walkthroughs showcasing cost optimization features
- Act as a trusted advisor to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Required Skills & Experience
- 3–5+ years working with Microsoft Azure, including:
- Infrastructure deployment (VMs, App Services, SQL, Functions)
- Monitoring with Azure Monitor and Log Analytics
- Exposure to Azure governance and cost tools:
- Azure Cost Management + Azure Advisor
- Experience working with customers in a consultative or support role
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Shift timings : 2 pm to 11 pm IST.
Preferred / Nice to Have
- Understanding of FinOps principles and cost allocation models
- Awareness of Azure pricing structures (SKUs, reservations, commitment tiers)
- Experience with tools such as:
- Azure Pricing Calculator, Cost Analysis, Budgets, Policy
- 3rd-party cost optimization platforms (CloudHealth, Cloudability, etc.)
- Azure Certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-400, FinOps Certified Practitioner)
- Exposure to Azure Integration Services (Functions, Logic Apps, Event Grid)
